Well, fall has begun! I have had a great summer of running, but have missed my husband on many long runs.  I ran the Air Force Full Marathon on September 15, 2012. It was a great race.  The scenery was obviously the military base, but nonetheless it was a well put on event.  Great crowd support.  Great water stations-almost at every mile.  I missed David doing the race, as he was going to try to BQ but he was unable to do it due to illness a few days before.  I felt great throughout the race and pretty much did not hit a wall.  I used cliff chews and hammer gel.  I held a handheld bottle and alternated between drinking my mix of powerade zero and water with a Hammer heed tablet (Endurolytes) mixed in.  I utilized some of the plain water stations and really enjoyed the sponges provided at two stops along the course.  I ended up finishing 15th out of 271 females age 20-29.  I realy wish David could have done this race with me.  Our nxt full is Spinx at the end of October.  I know he has all the potential to BQ as was displayed on a very fast ten mile tempo that he flew on like he used to.  He is a runner with talent he doesnt even realize.  A positive mindset and encouragement will give us both fast times at Spinx.
